Disabilities in the Workplace: Reasonable Accommodation. If you qualify as an employee with a disability, you may be entitled to a “reasonable accommodation” at work to enable you to perform your job and/or protect your health (See our Fact Sheet titled Disabilities in the Workplace: An Introduction to State and Federal Laws for general disability information). People with disabilities want to get married. We fall in love and want to make a commitment to the person that we love and become a family. For many it is a religious choice to get married. Yet, too many people with disabilities must choose between getting married and continuing to receive the benefits they need to live from federal programs.

laws (ESEA and IDEA) require students with disabilities to participate in statewide assessments with accommodations, where necessary. Section of the Rehabilitation Act of is a federal law that protects the rights of students with disabilities enrolled in public schools receiving federal funds. If the requested accommodation is not something you provide for all employees, then you may choose to make a disability determination before granting the request; the disability determination is not required. Many people who have disabilities can face a variety of challenges when job hunting, going on interviews, and working an office job. My view was always that I would never select an ADA room over other available room types when given the choice for a number of reasons.
